Position Overview:

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a Records Processing Specialist to join their client's team in Chicago, IL. This role is essential for managing and processing records efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely retrieval of information. The position is a 6-month assignment and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in processing incoming mail, sorting, coding, and classifying records into the system.
  • Retrieve and reference information for customers and conduct computer searches to provide the status of information.
  • File various media and prepare additional new sub-files within the client firm notes.
  • Retrieve and route requested files or filings, maintaining an accurate checkout system.
  • Create and maintain electronic and imaged records.
  • Interface with other staff members for support and information exchange.
  • Answer the Records department line and email regarding orders.
  • Organize records by tabbing, charting (hospitals), and placing them in chronological order.
  • Scan documents into Dropbox and bate stamp records.
  • Burn CDs, copy, and bind produced documents for mailing to clients.
  • Quality check all documents before dispatch.
  • Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing mail.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-year experience with an equivalent work history.
  • Litigation support (record retrieval) experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
